Assignment
A major railway company (hereafter referred to as the "client") asked Deepview to provide project management services during the implementation of a technology allowing continuous monitoring of the quality and technical condition of the equipment used in the transport network at a total value of approx. CZK 350 million. Prior to Deepview entry, the project had been significantly delayed.
Solution
Deepview conducted an analysis of the current state of the project and began negotiations with representatives of all stakeholders to provide an overview of the remaining tasks and identify the causes of the project delay. Based on this analysis, we redefined the project management rules, created a new list of tasks, set out responsibilities of the entities involved in the project, and created a detailed timetable with a follow-up plan. All of these outputs were agreed on by the contractors, who committed to their compliance.
In the next stages of the project, Deepview checked whether the agreed outputs and rules are actually being followed and if the project is implemented according to the timetable. To achieve this, Deepview coordinated meetings with members of the implementation team and with other stakeholders to identify emerging threats, proposed an adequate solution for them, and implemented these solutions in cooperation with the contractors.
Outcome
Thanks to Deepview’s intervention, the client completed the initially delayed project according to the timetable. This significantly reduced risk that the client would be obliged to return the public funds allocated to him for the implementation of the project. In the future, the installed technology will allow regular monitoring of the client's transport infrastructure in terms of wear and tear, thereby significantly increasing passenger safety.
